Frequently asked questions about the tests

Are the tests really free?

Yes. No sign-up, no email required: you answer the six questions and the result shows up right away. You can then contact me if you want to go further, with no commitment.

Where do the software prices come from?

From the publishers' public pricing pages, checked on 29 September 2026. When a publisher does not publish its prices, the test says they are on quote.

Why would a developer recommend off-the-shelf software?

Because it is often the right answer for a small business: software at a few dozen euros a month covers the essentials. A custom tool is only worth it when the way you work goes beyond what this software can do.
