Rentman Alternatives: Which Equipment Rental Software to Choose in 2026?

Rentman is the software most compared by event equipment rental companies: searches like 'Rentman or Booqable,' 'Rentman or Current RMS' keep coming up. Its pricing is public but built modularly, and that’s where quotes surprise you. I reviewed its pricing grid on October 11, 2026, along with those of other rental software solutions that display their prices. Here’s who Rentman is the best choice for, what makes people hesitate, four alternatives with their rates, and when a custom tool is justified.

What Rentman Costs in 2026

As of October 11, 2026, the pricing page of Rentman starts with a platform at €39 per month, to which advanced user licenses are added per month: Standard inventory management at €14 or Pro at €19, team scheduling Essential at €14, Standard at €19, or Pro at €24, and an organization module at €14. Then come the modules, also per advanced user and per month: quotes and invoicing at €9, registers at €12, equipment tracking at €9, and an additional warehouse at €5 per warehouse. Standard users are free and unlimited. The trial lasts 30 days with no conditions, annual payment offers an 8% discount, and the page does not specify whether prices are tax-exclusive.

An example. A renter with two people managing inventory and handling quotes takes the platform, two Standard inventory licenses, and two invoicing and quoting modules: €39 plus 2 times €23, totaling €85 per month. If they also schedule technical teams with Standard planning, it rises to €123 per month, or €1,476 per year. The 'from €53' seen on comparison sites corresponds to the platform plus a single inventory license, without quotes or invoicing.

Who Rentman Is Best For

Technical service providers in the events industry: sound, lighting, video, structures. They have equipment to track, technicians to schedule for each event, sometimes multiple warehouses, and they want quotes, invoices, inventory, and team scheduling all in one tool. Rentman was designed for them, and its 4.6/5 rating from 243 reviews on Capterra (as of October 11, 2026) comes mostly from this audience. If you fit this profile with three or more advanced users, the modular pricing makes sense based on what each feature does.

What Makes People Hesitate

The price is calculated, not just read. Each advanced user pays for every license and module. Before comparing Rentman to a fixed-price software, do your own math with your actual users.

Team scheduling isn’t for everyone. A renter of tables, chairs, tents, or tableware delivers equipment but doesn’t schedule technicians. They pay for a platform designed for a neighboring trade.

Quotes and invoices are a module. At €9 per advanced user per month, they’re not included in the base price, unlike LoKisi or Unipresta, which bundle them in their offerings.

VAT and support language. The pricing page is in French but doesn’t specify whether prices are tax-exclusive. Rentman is a Dutch publisher: ask in which language and during what hours support responds.

Four Alternatives to Rentman, With Their Prices

Prices displayed on each publisher’s website, recorded on September 29, 2026, for my comparison of equipment rental software.

Booqable costs $29 to $149 per month, with a 20% discount for annual billing: order management, inventory and availability, online booking page, and electronic signatures in the Grow plan. Optional deliveries are also included. It’s the most commonly compared alternative to Rentman, with a 4.8 out of 5 rating from 1,175 reviews on Capterra, and it emphasizes online booking over team scheduling.

LoKisi starts at €29 per month with no commitment: real-time inventory and availability, quotes, reservations, delivery notes, contracts, and invoices. A French editor with everything included in the base price.

Current RMS costs €69 per month for the first user, then €49 per additional user: rental, inventory, quotes, and scheduling without requiring extra modules. Positioned in the same technical field as Rentman, with simpler pricing.

Unipresta offers a free version with quotes, reservations, inventory, scheduling, clients, and an online rental site; unlimited subscription plans are not listed on its page.

Sphinx Manager, Locasyst, Codial, CLE, and Utiliz—French suites with checkout and return notes, charged breakage, and warehouse-based inventory—are available upon request.

And if none fit: the custom tool

Rental software handles items loaned from one date to another well. They struggle with what defines your season: a kit (table, chairs, tablecloth) where one item is missing upon return, the cleaning time between back-to-back events, inventory split across two warehouses with transfers, or custom tiered pricing. I developed StockPME, a multi-warehouse inventory software with serial numbers and transfers, for rules that don’t fit into any standard category.

On pricing, an add-on module alongside your subscription costs €2,500 to €7,000 once. A full custom software solution ranges from €5,000 to €15,000 upfront with me, plus €100 to €300 per month for maintenance, hosting, and backups included—and you own the code. Three years of Rentman at €123 per month totals €4,428, without price hikes or additional warehouses. My custom software pricing benchmark provides ranges from 14 French providers to compare quotes.

How to Choose in One Day

Take the six-question test from my page on rental software. Then have the software test a real case from your season: the same article rented for two consecutive events, with cleaning time in between, and a kit where one item is missing upon return. Calculate the price with your actual users, not with the introductory price.
