What the project changed

At Kodeva, where I was a full-stack engineer (work-study) in an agile team from October 2020 to August 2022. The project had barely started when I joined; Breizhtic distributed it with the matching hardware.

  1. Before

    • Stock tracked in spreadsheets or by hand.
    • Inventory errors, stock-outs and overstock that were hard to anticipate.
    • Little traceability of movements between locations and warehouses.

  2. What I built

    • Product records, stock levels and the history of every movement: goods in, goods out, corrections, stocktakes.
    • Transfers between locations and warehouses, with stock trend statistics.
    • Professional QR code labels, with the hardware distributed by Breizhtic, and after-sales tracking.

  3. After

    • Paper and spreadsheets replaced by a single tool.
    • No more manual re-entry, and more reliable stocktakes.
    • Deployed in SMEs with 20 to 200 employees, still in production today.

Project description

Context

Stockpme is a SaaS application designed to help small businesses and SMEs manage their stock and inventories in a simple, reliable way.

The project was developed within Kodeva, in collaboration with the company Breizhtic, which handled distribution of the software and associated equipment to client companies.

The aim of the solution is to centralise product, stock movement and warehouse management in a single interface, while simplifying field operations through a professional label system with QR codes.

The software is now used by companies to manage their inventory and track their products.

Problem

Many SMEs still manage their stock with poorly suited tools: spreadsheets, manual systems or overly complex software.

This setup can lead to:

  • inventory errors
  • difficulty tracking stock movements
  • stockouts or excess stock
  • limited traceability of logistics operations.

Teams need a simple tool to manage products and their movements while keeping a clear view of inventory.

Stockpme offers a browser-based stock management web application that centralises all inventory-related operations.

Companies can create product sheets, track stock movements and manage their warehouses from a simple interface.

The software also includes a professional label generation system with QR codes, enabling quick product identification and access to associated information.
