Gest-Time — Work time management software for businesses

Context

Gest-Time is a work time management SaaS application developed within Kodeva, in collaboration with the company Breizhtic, which handled distribution of the solution to small businesses and SMEs.

The project was designed to replace paper timesheets and scattered Excel files with a centralised platform for tracking team working hours.

The application is used by companies to record hours worked, track project progress and simplify timesheet validation.

It was designed to be easy to use on tablets and computers, including by field teams with limited familiarity with IT tools.

Problem

Many companies still track hours using poorly suited systems: paper sheets, spreadsheets or non-specialist tools.

These methods make it difficult to:

• capture working hours reliably
• track time spent on projects
• validate timesheets
• analyse data for team management.

Managers need a simple tool to centralise information and quickly spot anomalies.

Solution

Gest-Time offers a web application that lets employees enter their working hours by project, task or site, directly from a clear interface suited to tablets.

Employees record their hours day by day, then submit their weekly timesheet for validation.

Managers have a centralised weekly view to validate, correct or reject timesheets as needed.

The system also includes automatic alerts to flag anomalies such as missing hours or overruns.
